Alexandra "Lexi" Turano (she/her)
As a western Maryland native now living in the intermountain west, my favorite days are those spent in the mountains seeking a glimpse of wildlife. When I'm not in the mountains, I lead a typical postdoc life observing and quantifying coyote social/reproductive behavior at the USDA National Wildlife Research Center's Predator Research Facility in northern Utah. My hope is that my photography will serve as a reminder of our responsibility to conserve and protect the natural world on which we all depend. “Above all, I have been a sentient being, a thinking animal, on this beautiful planet, and that in itself has been an enormous privilege and adventure.” ― Oliver Sacks "Gratitude" |
